Maya

Hi my name is Maya. I’ve graduated with a First in Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham. In A-levels I achieved 2A* and and A in maths, biology and chemistry respectively. I also gained 8A* and 2A at GCSE's. I have over 6 years experience in teaching.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 6 years experience in tutoring, from primary up until A-level. I have tutored at a company called Kip McGrath. Here I tutored upto and including GCSE Maths with the new number system. I have also privately tutored one on one, again up to GCSE and A- level. At Northampton High School I also took part in the number partners scheme where we used games in order to teach primary children addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Tutoring Approach

Fun and enjoyable ways of learning which will make children remember things for a longer period of time. I believe past paper questions and doing questions is the best way to excel in maths. I use Teams as the online platform but am open to other platforms if the student is not familiar with it.
