Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced language tutor with over 4+ years experience teaching students all over the world. I have a sound understanding of the current GCSE syllabus for various exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, iGCSE, WJEC) and what each one requires from students. I can prepare classes which cover all aspects of the exam specification, or can just focus on particular skills such as listening/reading etc.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is friendly and fun. I want to show students how fun and beautiful learning another language is, and how it is a skill that is so sought-after in the world of work. One of my main focuses is for my students to feel confident and comfortable in the language as I believe that without self-confidence, it is impossible to succeed. I like using a variety of materials in my classes to aid students in becoming more dynamic and spontaneous in their Spanish, which will particularly help them in their speaking and writing papers. I like to spend part of the first session going through the student's goal(s) in order to put together a study plan to achieve them together. I also show students how to incorporate Spanish into their everyday lives via the use of study apps like Quizlet and Duolingo which they can do for short snippets of time each day.
