I am a positive and personable tutor with high expectations for all students I work with. I aim to understand how the individual learns and tutor to meet their specific need whilst building exam technique which is crucial to success. My purpose is to instil confidence in tutees because this will help them believe they can achieve, are more likely to reach their goal.
Tutoring Experience
I have 23 years A level psychology teaching experience, I am an examiner for a leading exam board, with 19 years experience of examining A level psychology. 7 years tutoring experience. I am a 6th form tutor helping with UCAS entries amongst an array of other issues/areas and Curriculum Team Leader for the Extended Project.
Tutoring Approach
I believe the student should be comfortable with their tutor, I am a friendly person who looks for the best in all students. I believe psychology is very much a skill based subject as well as content heavy and with my examining experience, feel I am competent at building the skills necessary for success at A level.
