Michael

My name is Michael, I have over a decade of experience teaching across a variety of disciplines and am now based back in Havant after a two year stint in Australia.

I attended Winchester college between 2011 and 2015, and achieved a First in History from the University of Exeter, before going on to gain my masters degree in Business analytics. This was also while leading the public speaking society, chairing the Debating Society, and serving as a Debating Coach.

Tutoring Experience

My first foray into teaching was in secondary school teaching basic German at primary level. I went on to lead educational talks at Petworth House and the Winchester Museum. In my final year at Winchester, I was a senior mentor for first year entrants.

Tutoring Approach

History examinations follow a very basic structure that holds all the way through from GCSE to Undergraduate. With a tight and early focus on essay technique and clarity of argument. This is very good news. Absolutely achieve an A grade or equivalent. This focus on style is particularly good for those taking time-based exams.
