Chemist trained to doctorate (PhD) level, with experience in tutoring chemistry students from GCSE to A-Level for the past 4 years, leading to improved exam results and appreciation for the subject.
Tutoring is most useful when a subject can be put across in a clear and concise way, in an atmosphere where questions are encouraged and where exam technique is engrained into the learning. I believe it is also important to ensure that the appreciation of the subject is there as well as also developing the skills needed to excel in exams.
Course instructor on a speech therapy programme called 'The McGuire Programme,' which was recently featured in an ITV documentary entitled 'School for Stammerers.' I instructed this 4-day course where 52 hours of content was taught to people from a wide range of backgrounds.
