I am an experienced teacher of over 15 years with a passion for reading and speaking Spanish. I have worked abroad in Dubai and taught all subjects in an International School and coordinated the science curriculum for the school. I am interested in teaching online for one day a week across a range of subjects and levels.
I have taught KS3-4 Science for a number of years and then went onto teach in Primary education and taught upper KS2 to prepare students for SATS exams. I have also tutored a range of students for entrance exams into secondary schools. Additionally, I have tutored students for Biology GCSE. During my time as a secondary teacher, I taught Spanish up to GCSE level and I am an advanced Spanish speaker.
My approach to teaching is treating each student as unique and ensuring their learning needs are met. I always ensure to conduct a baseline assessment so I can assess the level the student is at. I then meticulously refer to the curriculum and level of qualification the student is working towards to prepare my lessons. All my lessons are interactive with thinking time, independent time and time for the student to be able to demonstrate their learning and understanding. I continually formative assess and ensure all work planned is differentiated to suit the learner and their needs.
