This year makes it my 24th year as a primary school teacher... I have a Psychology degree and later completed my post graduate training in Education at St Martins. I am able to tutor 1 to 1 from my home or yours. My experience as a tutor, has enabled me to be as flexible as possible . As a working mum of two children, I can fully appreciate how busy life and schedules can be.
Available for home schooling and day time teaching on specific days.
I have been teaching at my current school (Fairlop Primary School) in the London Borough of Redbridge since 2003. Luckily for me, my journey within Education has given me the opportunity to have taught every year group within the primary setting from Early Years to Year 6. For this I am most grateful...
Throughout many school observations and Ofsted, I have been classed as an 'outstanding teacher'. I have a sound knowledge of the national curriculum levels, phonics screening , SATs, supporting children with SEN and teaching both Maths and English booster classes within the school setting so that children can achieve their target grades.
First and foremost I consider myself very kind and will always make sure that every child matters: this is very important for me, as it sets the foundation for a great working relationship. I feel that this is vital for any form of progress, both in general and academically .
Over the last two decades, I believe, from a vast range of first hand experience that I have made a difference to many children (something I am extremely proud of). Therefore they can access their learning at an approach and style that works best for them. Happy to build this foundation based on the children's needs, working alongside their parents. I do not charge a fee for the first meeting of about 20 minutes where I can assess individual needs.
