Hi my names Ali, I’m 25 years old.
In regards to my experience, I’ve been teaching for almost 6 years.
I started off working with primary kids as little as the ages of 5-7 (year 1 - year 3) for the first two years and since then it’s been a main focus on the gcse kids as that’s my speciality.
I’m a supervisor for the maths department at a tuition centre in East London ensuring all the students that attend come out every session learning something new.
I don’t like the term “tutor” as for a basic subject tutor it’s very difficult to get the best out of a student.
How I look at it is mentoring, getting to know the students, understanding them from a mental and psychological way, and most importantly being a friend to them within boundaries.
With this approach I have found a huge success as students actually want to come and attend lessons and have fun and most importantly they learn way more.
