My current role is tutoring as well as cryptocurrency on the side. Tutoring gives me great pleasure as I see the progress in my students and how enthusiastic they’ve become, this also motivates me to teach others and help them exceed their targets. As well as being a tutor I am also very aware of mental health as many students that I’ve came across have and do face anxiety therefore I am able to stay calm, collective and professional as well as being caring in being able to understand my students on a much respectable level.
In the future I am also willing to help as many students as I can as this will always be close to my heart.
My understanding of English is knowing what students are being taught during lessons as well as keeping up with exam boards, to keep in check with updates as well as key information which would influence a students grade. I have helped many students in the past and have been making them jump to higher grades. As a tutor I tend to not pressure my students as it would make them fear my judgement of their knowledge so therefore I try my utmost best to understand my students beforehand to see how they work individually.
I have taught over 6-7 students over the duration of three years towards their GCSE English exam. The age group that I teach at are from 14-16, and I specifically teach GCSE English language and Literature.
My approach to tutoring is to always listen to the students to see what they’re struggling to learn and understand and how I can tackle this problem in the most effective and efficient time. I am also very aware of anxiety and how it can affect studies and have learnt a lot over three years as students would slowly but surely open up to me and this led me to have much more acceptance of issues that may occur during studies.
