I am an enthusiastic and dedicated tutor, committed to supporting the individual progress of every child I work with. I offer flexible working hours to suit the needs of both you and your child, ensuring a supportive and tailored approach to learning. I firmly believe that children should be at the heart of society’s priorities, they are the next generation and deserve to be nurtured with the right tools and opportunities to thrive. Having loved every stage of my own educational journey, I am passionate about inspiring that same love of learning in others and helping them achieve their full potential.
With over 12 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I bring a deep commitment to education and student success. I specialise in Religious Studies, Philosophy & Ethics, and Sociology, subjects I have taught with enthusiasm and expertise since completing my degree. Currently, I serve as Head of Humanities at a leading grammar school, where I guide curriculum development and mentor both students and staff. My insight into academic standards is further strengthened by my role on the board of examiners for both AQA and OCR, giving me a comprehensive understanding of what examiners look for and how students can excel.
In addition to my work in the humanities, I have spent the past decade tutoring Maths and English, working closely with students across a range of abilities. I have found immense joy in helping young minds build confidence, master core skills, and make meaningful progress. My approach is tailored, nurturing, and informed by years of classroom practice and exam insight. I believe every child has the potential to flourish when given the right support and I am passionate about unlocking that potential in every learner I work with.
I firmly believe that every tutoring session should be thoughtfully tailored to the unique needs of each individual child, recognising that all learners absorb and process information in different ways. My approach begins with a detailed initial consultation, during which I take the time to understand the student’s strengths, challenges, and preferred learning style. This allows me to design a personalised programme that targets the areas requiring support while building on what the child already does well.
My goal is not only to improve subject-specific knowledge, but also to equip every student with a versatile skill set they can apply across the curriculum. Whether it’s critical thinking, problem-solving, or effective communication, I ensure these foundational skills are developed alongside academic content. In doing so, I help each child unlock their full potential - not just in one subject, but across all areas of their education.
