Natalia began studying piano and violin at the age of 6, but the emphasis of her musical studies changed completely when her singing ability was discovered, a gift which changed her life forever.
By the age 21 she had become a well-known soprano in her native Romania; and the leading prima of the National Operetta Theatre in Bucharest, where she was best known for her fantastic performances as ‘Vilja’ in “The Merry Widow” by F. Lehar; as ‘Countess’ in “Viener Blut” by J. Strauss; as ‘Silvia’ in “Die Csárdásfürstin” by E. Kálmán; and ‘Eliza’ in “My Fair Lady” by A.J. Lerner.
Whilst still at a relatively young age between the years 2002 to 2014 Natalia collaborated and appeared with the biggest Romanian Opera Theatres from Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Brasov, Craiova in the roles of ‘Tatyana’ in “Eugene Onegin”- by P. I. Tchaikovsky; ‘Marguerite’ in “Faust” by C. Gounod; and also ‘Mimi’ in “La Bohème” by G. Puccini
She continued her post-graduate studies at “Santa Cecilia” Academy in Rome (Italy); afterwards performing across Europe and South America.
Natalia also teaches piano, violin, music theory, and voice/singing in Romania, Italy and UK.
She currently is based in Portsmouth, UK, where she combines her private musical teaching with a private practice as a psychologist.
