I have worked with young people since I volunteered at a school whilst I was at university in 2008. I’ve always enjoyed working with secondary age students. I have a fun sense of humour and love to bring this into my lessons. One parent said “Every student needs ‘a Natalie’ on their educational journey”.
I am a mummy to two beautiful little boys and enjoy the challenges that parenthood brings.
I have been teaching English at key stage 3 and GCSE for 14 years. I am able to teach English language, literature and functional skills. I have been an AQA GCSE English Literature exam marker.
I have been a head of house, looking after 10 staff and 270 students. I particularly enjoyed delivering assemblies and writing out newsletters.
My ability to create excellent working relationships with young people has always been a strength and an enjoyment of mine.
Excellent communication with students to open up discussions and deepen general knowledge, as well as teaching English skills.
I would say I am child centred.
