Being half French, I studied at the Lyçée Français Charles de Gaulle in London where I took my GCSEs (9 A*s) and A levels (3A*s, 1A) after which I completed my BSc in Biomedical Sciences at UCL (First Class Honours). I am currently reading an MPhil in Translational Biomedical Research at the University of Cambridge and have received funding to start a PhD at Cambridge in October 2022 investigating the effects of maternal obesity on the cardiovascular system of the foetus.
I am passionate about my subject and am looking to tutor French and Maths (up to GCSE level) and Biology (up to A level), as well as providing help with the post-graduate Oxbridge application process.
I volunteered as a Chemistry and Biology teacher for GCSE students when I was completing my A levels.
I worked for 6 months with two different families who needed a home tutor for their children due to personal problems (child illness). I taught Biology and French at GCSE and 11+ level. Both my students received top marks in their exams and I have continued teaching them sporadically over the summer when available.
Having recently applied to Cambridge for an MPhil and passed my interview, I feel that I am equipped to help students through their post graduate applications to work on both their written and oral skills in terms of what admission tutors are looking for.
My approach is student centred and varies depending on the needs of the individual I am teaching. I focus a lot on exam technique and make sure to go through the curriculum and exam papers prior to sessions. I am very friendly and encourage students to actively interact with me through work exercises, homework and questions.
