I'm a 2nd year PhD student currently at the University of Cambridge where I am studying cancer biology. I have been studying in the science field for over 5 years and have a strong grasp of how to teach difficult scientific concepts to those of a younger age.
I have been tutoring students in biology, chemistry, and maths for 5 years from ages 11-18 both virtual and in-person. In particular, most of my experience is in biology and chemistry tuition, including exam preparation for GCSE and A-levels.
I aim to teach my students in a way that engages them in science and allows them to understand difficult concepts more simply. A typical revision lesson would involve going through the topic in the first half of the lesson followed by questions at the end of the session. I'm quite flexible depending on what type of tuition a student needs. I am also able to offer advice on exam technique for GCSE and A-level subjects.
