I am an experienced teacher with a PhD in Cancer Research Cell Biology, a degree in Biochemistry, a PGCE in Secondary Science Education and over seven years of teaching in secondary schools. I have been awarded an ‘outstanding’ grade for every OFSTED inspection I have received.

Tutoring Experience

I have many years of experience teaching both in classrooms and one-to-one sessions. I am also a qualified yoga teacher and can use this experience to suggest methods to calm and focus my students. My teaching has been consistently rated ‘outstanding’ and I have all 5 star reviews for my tutoring.

Tutoring Approach

A free initial 1 hour session will be used to discuss the learners’ requirements and goals. An individualised plan will then be created to allow a focused pathway for our progression forward.

The subsequent hourly sessions will take place on a weekly basis. In these sessions, we will concentrate on achieving specific goals set by the learner, concentrating on developing effective exam techniques as well as helping with specific content where needed.

The sessions will be focused on improving exam attainment, but will also work more holistically to improve work efficiency, classroom performance and prepare the learner for the world beyond the exams.
