I'm a university student looking to help out others that may be struggling in Maths, English and Biology. All these subjects are difficult, and you shouldn't be discouraged if you don't understand them. As someone who struggle with these subjects myself from GCSE to A-levels, I understand it can be difficult, but with the right approach anything is possible!
I have tutored before for about 6 months, helping the tutee gain a deeper understanding in Maths which reflected in her scores. Of course, it's not an overnight things, and it does take time, but at the end of the day studying definitely pays off!
My approach is flexible to accommodate the tutee's needs - everyone learns differently, and although one approach may work for one person, that may not be the case for another. Typically for Maths, I like to go over the basic concepts of what it is the tutee wants to learn, and then we do practice questions from past papers or from varying sources to help gain a better understanding of the problems.
For Biology, I tend to go over concepts the tutee may not understand, trying to explain them, and using different forms of recall to help them memorise the facts, as well as viewing how to answer questions and even practicing them.
Similarly for English, it tends to be going over quotes and analysing specific quotations that may come in handy during the exam, ensuring that proper context and information is given.
