I worked as a science/physics teacher in an Ofsted Outstanding school, with a 'well above average' (>1.00) progress 8 score in central London and am currently completing my nuclear physics masters at a red-brick university in the UK. I continue to be passionate about education and I look forward to using my experience to help you achieve the best results possible.
I have taught AQA GCSE Chemistry, Biology and Physics to year 11 and A-level physics under the OCR framework. My Alps score placed my A-level physics cohort in the top 10% nationally while 80% of my GCSE physics class scored 7 or above in their GCSEs. Though I am a physics specialist, I am happy to tutor all the sciences up to year 11.
Instead of offering repeated instruction during one-to-one tutor time, I will use the time to assess student learning, provide focused feedback, and engage with selected exam practice - all things that can not be offered in a busy classroom, or provided by online resources. I will then provide focused homework based on each session, which I will assess outside of session time.
