I have been teaching English for fourteen years. I passionately believe that all students can be successful. I am an enthusiastic, passionate teacher. I work in secondary schools and have experience getting the best possible results from students. I truly believe that a great working relationship is vital in helping students to achieve their potential.

Tutoring Experience

I qualified in 2011 as an English teacher. Since then, I have been working with students in secondary schools in the North East. I've been in my current role since September 2016 and have extensive experience with the new AQA GCSEs in English Language and Literature. I have a proven track record of improving results in my students. I am experienced in teaching GCSE and A Level. I have also taught IGCSE.

Tutoring Approach

When dealing with students, I like to employ a calm, focused approach. I am well-organised and like to plan ahead. I am more than happy to mark work and provide support via email or text message in between sessions to help ensure the highest possible results.
