I am currently studying Biological Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. I received a medal for the UK in the International Biology Olympiad in Astana, Kazakhstan in 2024, being selected for a team of 4 from 14,000 people.

Tutoring Experience

I have done tutoring, mainly through my school, helping a GCSE student improve his GCSE biology grade from a 4 in his mock exams, to a 7 in his actual exams, becoming his best subject. I have done roughly 20 hours of maths tutoring with a KS3 student and have done roughly 10 hours of maths tutoring with gifted primary school students.

Tutoring Approach

I avoid giving students solutions, instead, prompting them to think about the problem using questions and ensuring students have a complete foundational understanding. The majority of sessions will be spent answering exam questions to ensure students don't simply understand the content, but also how they need to demonstrate their knowledge.
