I was born in Balham, South London ( 24/12/1956). I taught ( synthetic and medicinal chemistry) at Bath University, School of Pharmacy and Pharmacology ( 1990-1995). I lived and taught in Malaysia for the past 24 years and retired as Professor of organic chemistry at the University of Malaya-the oldest university in Malaysia in 2017.

Tutoring Experience

After retirement from the University Malaya, I taught pre-university chemistry ( the American Degree Transfer Programme-similar in some ways to A level chemistry) at the Methodist College in Kuala Lumpur ( 2017-2021). I returned to Cardiff, Wales on the 24th January 2022. I am currently tutoring 5 students ( GCSE maths, A level chemistry and biology and a chemistry undergraduate. I welcome more students.

Tutoring Approach

The intention ( hope) is to stimulate the students' imagination, encourage creativity and logical thinking and of equal importance, give support and encouragement to the less gifted student.
