I am a passionate and dedicated mathematics enthusiast with more than 2 years of professional teaching background and experience currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics at university. Growing up in a family of educators and engineers, I have always been surrounded by a deep appreciation for mathematical problem-solving and its practical applications. This upbringing, along with my personal academic journey, has cultivated a love for teaching and mentoring others in mathematics. I aim to inspire students to see math not just as a subject but as a tool for critical thinking and creativity.
I have extensive experience working with students aged 18 and under in various capacities. I have:
-Assisted GCSE students in my previous secondary school as well as some other secondary schools around me in exam preparation, helping them build confidence and master key mathematical concepts.
-Volunteered to teach primary school students in my local community, introducing them to foundational math skills in an engaging way.
These experiences have strengthened my ability to adapt to different learning styles and levels, ensuring every student achieves their potential.
My approach to teaching mathematics is rooted in making the subject accessible, engaging, and enjoyable. I tailor each session to the student’s individual needs, focusing on building a strong foundation before tackling more complex topics. I prioritise making the teaching content engaging for the students. Key elements of my approach include:
Personalised Sessions: Adapting lessons to fit the student’s learning style and pace, ensuring they grasp concepts effectively.
Interactive Problem-Solving: Encouraging active participation to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Building Confidence: Creating a supportive environment that motivates students to tackle challenges and celebrate achievements.
Practical Applications: Demonstrating real-world uses of mathematical concepts to make learning relevant and inspiring.
My goal is to empower students to not only succeed in their studies but to develop a lifelong appreciation for the beauty and utility of mathematics.
