Private Maths and Physics Tuition in Aylesbury

I went to university for a long time and learned a lot about Science and Maths. Then I decided to do a PGCE and have been teaching and tutoring Science and Maths ever since. Being a qualified teacher means I am very familiar with every stage of the education system and its challenges (exams!) and how much pressure is put on learners and parents to continually achieve and attain. Finding out what help and support you need and what works for you means you can enjoy learning as much as possible.

Tutoring Experience

I've been a teacher for 20 years, teaching Science, Physics and Chemistry, Maths and recently Electronics from Yr 1 all the way to Sixth form and beyond. I've taught in all types of school settings and have always tried to make my subjects interesting, fun and accessible. For the last ten years have also been tutoring students of all ages at home and on-line, helping people with moving school, passing exams and even helping parents with their kids homework!

Tutoring Approach

There is so much time pressure on teachers, parents and students to get through an ever increasing amount of work and succeed at their exams I try to provide an opportuinty for learners to practice what they learn in school, time to make mistakes and improve on them in a supportive enviroment. My systematic and methodical approach lends itself especially to learners with ASD and SEMH needs.
