Home Tuition for Music in Paddington

I am a Doctor of Music and a Professor at London Performing Academy of Music.
I am an award winning and chart topping world renowned Composer.
I am also a performing artist, a Verified Spotify Artist, a Concert Pianist and a Private Piano Teacher.
My teaching method and my students were featured in a special BBC program called ‘Making the Grade’ about the successful passing of ABRSM exams under my guidance.
However my teaching philosophy extends far beyond the exam repertoire, focusing on cultivating a deep love for music. I like using a variety of creative and engaging teaching methods tailored to individual learning styles, where students feel inspired to explore their musical potential and ensuring that each student receives a personalised and enriching educational experience.
Throughout my career I have successfully prepared students for recitals, competitions, and exams, with many achieving top honours and awards.
I am particularly proud of working with children with special needs and achieving success which underscores my commitment to student’s success and excellence in music education.
In addition to my technical skills, I am known for my patience, creativity and ability to connect with students on a personal level.
I strongly believe that teaching is meant to be a passion and not simply something someone does when a performance career doesn’t pan out as planned. Quite the contrary, one has to be very successful in order to share experience, knowledge etc. with others through teaching. The teacher has to be a source of inspiration. I continue to be creative in my teaching as well. Like with my compositions my style is ‘tailored’ to fit specific individual students.

I am particularly proud of working with children with special needs and achieving success which underscores my commitment to student’s success and excellence in music education.
When I was teaching a student with Parkinson’s disease, because of the nature of her illness, the student only had limited capacity in her left hand. I created a special way and we both were delighted that she passed her music exams. The examiner even commented on a good coordination between her hands. It was such a great achievement for both of us. There was a special BBC program about it called ‘Making the Grade’ .
My student with Parkinson’s disease found that piano lessons helped her to cope with her condition both physically and emotionally.

Tutoring Approach

I teach piano privately tailored for students’ needs.
My piano lessons are personalised and designed for students’ individuality.
I love to inspire my pupils and share my knowledge.
My teaching method was featured in a BBC program in relation to successful passing of ABRSM exams (that is why it was called ‘Making the Grade’).
However my teaching philosophy extends far beyond the examination repertoire, I do like focusing on cultivating a deep love for music, that is most important.
I like using a variety of creative and engaging teaching methods tailored to individual learning styles, where students feel inspired to explore their own musical potential.
For me teaching is a passion. The teacher has to be a source of inspiration.
I continue to be creative in my teaching as well. Like with my compositions my style is ‘tailored’ to fit specific individual students.
