Hi! My name is Ollie, I’m an undergraduate biochemistry student studying at Manchester University. I would love to share my passion for the subject with younger students, and by doing so help them pursue their academic goals.

Tutoring Experience

Although I am new to tutoring, I believe I can create a welcoming and motivating environment for students. I myself have benefitted so much from tutoring throughout my school career, and I would love to help others receive the same support. During school and sixth form I volunteered to help younger year students in the core subjects. This experience, as well as helping my younger sisters through their GCSE’s and A-Levels, has given me a strong understanding of the core principles of teaching.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to teaching will reflect how I personally feel is the best way to understand science. I am a strong believer in the effectiveness of active learning, and will encourage it via problem solving exercises utilising exam board specific materials, and discussions. By breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, I hope to help students build confidence and understanding.
