I am a born Londoner with a French family background, and a passion for connecting with people through language and culture. I have taught English in schools in Colombia and France, graduated with a degree in French Studies from the University of Nottingham in 2020 and have since worked as a private tutor in English and French - something I am now looking to expand into my own network and business!

Tutoring Experience

I have taught English with a TEFL qualification in Colombia on a fixed term voluntary placement as well as on a Language Assistant contract in France via the British Council for a year, focusing on primary level. Since graduating in my degree in French Studies, I have tutored English and French online and in person, expanding my reach to secondary school students and adult learners over the years to support my other work.

Tutoring Approach

I use my own worksheets (based on exam or school curriculums where appropriate) tailored to each student - here I can demonstrate tools to unlock your capability in English and French quickly and reliably. I have a proven track record of bringing out exam success from GCSE and A Level students, turning weaknesses into strengths, and making French and English accessible and enjoyable to learn! I like to use a creative and cultural approach to my teaching style, so draw on key poetry, film and literature from my degree and studies to enhance language skills and understanding.
