I am a Medical Microbiology graduate from the University of Bristol, with two years’ industry experience working as an Entomologist at a successful biotechnology start-up company based in Central London. My background is rooted in Science and Maths, with an emphasis on Biology and Biochemistry in particular. I have always had a passion for teaching and am a friendly and welcoming tutor.
I have been responsible for overseeing and conducting training for numerous new employees throughout my time in employment (including scientific procedures, health and safety protocols etc), and am now getting back into assisting young people with academic tuition.
My teaching approach is based on understanding and respecting that every student has different requirements for effective learning, and tailoring my approach accordingly. I aim to create a safe, relaxed space in which the student can learn and interact without fear or embarrassment of getting things wrong, and believe that learning occurs best when the student feels intellectually stimulated as well as comfortable.
