I am an Economics graduate from Oxford University. Earning a double prize winning First class honours degree.
"John Hicks Prize" - Highest mark in microeconomics across the university
"College Prize for Meritorious Work" - Highest Economics First in my college
Now based in London, having grown up in Gloucestershire. My interests include Python programming, education, technology for education, and sports.
I have been a tutor for 6 years, with over 1500+ hours of experience - mainly tutoring:
Oxbridge entrance exams specialising in the TSA (Oxford) and the ECAA (Cambridge)
Mathematics at all age groups (11 - 18 year olds) - including Mechanics, Statistics, Pure Maths, Decision Maths.
Physics (13+)
Entrance Exams for schools
Economics at degree level
My approach to tutoring is similar to my own personal study approach. I have a methodical manner progressing in small steps paying particular attention to the basics of every topic. To build a strong understanding in any topic you must have strong foundations, a confident grasps of the basics - everything else builds off of this and gives a student the confidence to tackle any question with a large, core arsenal of skills.
I pride myself on my friendly and encouraging tutoring style and being patient with every student, I have spent countless hours stuck on problems and topics myself. The best way is to work with someone to tackle the issue together head on and to do that you must have a comfortable working relationship with your study partner.
