Patrick has been coaching my son, a yr 13 alevel economics student. So far he has had 4 x 90minute sessions spaced out over a few weeks and the improvement in understanding the exam technique and confidence in the subject has been huge. Patrick has also provided good information and resources to fill the gaps in knowledge. The tutoring is in person, and Patrick has been punctual for every lesson. Information is also shared regularly throughout the week in between sessions via whatsapp. He took the time initially to understand the areas needing improvement and has been very effective in getting my son on the right track and moving forward very quickly. Patrick is polite and courteous (and even happy to take his shoes off in the house) . I am kept informed of progress and would highly recommend him. The difference he has made is massive.

If anyone is looking for a GCSE Business Studies tutor, I definitely recommend Patrick. My son is in year 10 and has had a few lessons now with Patrick. My son looks forward to his lessons and Patrick really has given him motivation and the confidence that he will do well. Patrick goes above and and beyond when teaching my son, he has on several occasions taught more than a hour and makes sure, both my husband and myself are aware on how my son is doing.
Patrick is very accommodating and my son can ask for help via text if need be and Patrick is more than happy to help. You do not get many tutors who help outside the lessons, since my son’s first lesson, Patrick has gone through what my son needs help in, given extra resources and exams papers and has even dropped off resources off at our home in his own time.
Patrick always gives both husband and myself feedback after every lesson, and we all are working together to help my son achieve the highest grade.

My son's first lesson cancelled due to Patrick being sick which I totally understand then we rearranged for various days and he would then get the days mixed up. Finally arranged a day for one to one and he sends apologies! I would definitely would not recommend this tutor, I have also asked for for my finder's fee money back. No response

I am disappointed that this client has decided to cancel as it simply was an unfortunate set of circumstances which began with the client booking me at the beginning of Jan but not wanting sessions until very recently, sadly I then contacted covid and had to cancel our planned session, the client was understanding and asked for a specific session on Saturday which as my texts to her reflect I couldn't commit to as I was with another client at this time and due to above I offered to waive any session fees for the misunderstanding and cancelations - this clearly was unacceptable.

My feedback reflects I am reliable and have excellent communications sadly we cannot give feedback on possible clients but if I could I would say "be careful this client feels they own you and can dictate the times they want sessions regardless of any other commitments you may have and have previously shared with them! Prehaps its best allround"

Patrick has been tutoring our son for a-level economics in the recent past, and our son is happy with his lessons. Apart from the tutoring sessions, Patrick gives work at home between tutoring sessions and guides with additional reading lists etc. He is knowledgeable, builds rapport quickly, engages the student well in learning and has ben punctual.

Extremely disappointed with Patrick. Patrick attended the first lesson but failed to attend the next lesson. Received no response despite telephoning him and leaving a voicemail as to whether he was attending. Followed up with an email as to whether he was continuing with the lessons. Again did not receive a response. Very unreliable and unprofessional.

Sorry you feel this way! I attended as you requested, I recall you originally cancelled and rearranged sessions which I had no reason to complain about, the session we had I charged 50% so you were refunded the site admin charge and both you and daughter were happy with the service provided. I also emailed you resources following session which I heard nothing from on return. We did not formalise another session so I presumed you were assessing options. Best wishes but prehaps be a little fairer in your next tutor review and give all the salient points.

Initially slow to return calls. Following agreement, Did not turn up for scheduled appointment Apologies believing to be mistake, given second chance but did not reply to txt. Never got to meet this tutor therefore unable to comment on actual tutoring . Communication poor.

Initial contact very good, thought organised sessions promised a phone call with an exact time, no phone call chased up with a text which was answered with another promise of a phone call still no response now won't answer the phone, or email or text. shame some of the reviews are good but at the moment I wouldn't rate him at all unfortunately.

I would recommend that any possible clients review the vast majority of my feedback from clients, which bar two clients reflect a 5 star service.

the two negative reviews in question were clients booking me but then I found out were London addresses. I would suggest this is an invalid or incorrect review/feedback.

Sessions were organised with this client, they were delayed as they were on holiday and I heard nothing more until this feedback, I believe the clients circumstances changed and rather then postpone tutoring a negative review was created, which I reported to the website.

I am sorry but every client I have met worked with gives me 5*

Our first few sessions have been very informative and tailored to my current needs which has obviously helped. I rate the sessions so far as a solid 4/5 as I have gained advice in fixing my biggest issue which was my essay writing technique and I now feel as if I am gradually improving in that department. A 5/5 I feel is too early to give as I plan future sessions to be more content based. It is after this, then perhaps I can give a more well-rounded opinion but I would like to stress that we have had a very positive start in trying to achieve the top grades, and hope this may continue.

sadly I have decided to report this feedback to the website, it simply is not fair, my profile is very clear I live and work in the West Midlands.
We discussed sessions before this client booked, she knew I live/work in West Midlands, then when places first booking I get a London address!!!

Why do clients do this???

I have 17 feedback from 15 clients of which who I have met give me 5 stars or 5/5… 2 clients in London book me incorrectly and then give me poor ratings, how is that fair??

This is my profession as such I ask you consider the 15 clients who use this website correctly and rate me 5/5 against 2 clients who clearly struggle to accept as a tutor I do not travel to London for sessions but do not want to declare this at time o**Contact Detail Removed**ing to me… To be clear the postcode I rec'd was a London postcode and the website can verify this.

Following many requests Patrick has let my son down over and over again. He has sat on many occasions waiting for Patrick to contact him for a lesson after arrangements had been made and confirmed. He is very upset and now not sure if he wishes to have any tutoring. At A levels students are already very stressed with the work load and do not need to be let down like this.

I am very sorry this did not work out, I would however clarify a few points, the original booking was in another child's name for some unknown reason so there was a delay and some confusion which I take my part of responsibility for, then Skype sessions were agreed with the parents only for the child not to have a Skype account, which I do not see as my fault. Finally after telling the client and the child I could not do a specific time, as I was with another client I was repeatly phoned disturbing that clients session. I am a professional well respected tutor and my feedback reflects this. I feel perhaps this clients expectations are simply unmatchable. And giving me incorrect names, arranging Skype sessions when this is not possible made my position impossible. All I ask is compare my feedback from other clients and form your own opinion. however in good faith on my behalf any charges incurred when getting my detials from the website I would happily reimburse.

Initial feedback is very positive as Patrick has managed to very quickly understand the requirements for my son and helped to pull together a plan of action to ensure the best possible outcome. The intervention also seems very tailored to specific needs rather than a one size fits all approach. A positive start.

Working with clients who are clear on their areas of focus and the support required is a huge support to me when ensuring the intervention strategies employed are effective for the individual needs.

Disappointingly, I didn't recieve any responses to my emails to confirm a session after a payment was taken to release his details.

I have contacted the client privately to advise that due to unforeseen circumstances I was out of the country during the week in question. Sadly I have not had the chance to rectify the situation by taking any contact costs off our first session but will gladly refund any costs incurred by this client regardless if she would like to contact me.

We have used Patrick for our 17 year old daughter for A2 in Geography and Business Studies, she has really enjoyed the lessons and is benefitting from one to one tutoring.
