Following retirement from twelve years in senior management as an Assistant Head Academic in co-educational and single-sex day and boarding schools, I have returned to our home in Warminster with my wife, who is a school nurse. I am looking to use my teaching and senior school entry liaison experience to offer tutoring and next school entrance preparation.
I have taught English, History and R.S. from Year 5 to Common Entrance and Scholarship level, including 11+ and ISEB Common Pre-test preparation, and have been Head of Department of all three subjects. I am IT literate (Apple Teacher).
I believe very much in helping the individual child to realise their strengths so that he or she may then develop the confidence to meet the mutually identified challenges which lie ahead. Listening to the child, clear target-setting, appropriate use of technology, encouragement and celebration of progress ensure that individual needs are met and goals are reached.
