I grew up in north London and after graduation worked for ten years in industry before completing a PGCE and entering teaching.

Tutoring Experience

I have recently retired after 30 years of teaching. During that time I have taught both AQA and Edexcel Physics at GCSE and A Level. I am also able to teach the AQA GCSE Chemistry. I am an associate examiner for Edexcel which gives me further insight into the techniques and approaches to do well in the exams. My last teaching position was with an International college where some students were taught exclusively on line.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is:
• Screen share digital resources such as the text book the student is using, animations and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assess what needs to be covered for a particular exam.
• Focus on gaps of misunderstanding.
• Use past papers to reinforce what has been learnt and to improve exam technique.
