My name is Paulina and I have just graduated from UCL, where I studied BA French and Polish. I have several years of experience in tutoring. I specialise in languages, mathematics and also offer tuition for those who need help learning English as a second language. Over the last couple of years, I have helped many students achieve their target grades in both GSCEs and A-Levels.

In May 2025, I have gained the CertTrans Qualification in Translation in both French and Polish offered by Chartered Institute of Linguists.

I studied French, Polish, Maths and Philosophy and Ethics of Religion at A-Level, where I got grades A, A, B, B respectively.

I am familiar with AQA and Edexcel exam boards for GCSE maths as this was the boards with which I worked with earlier this year for several students.

Tutoring Experience

I now have over 300+ hours of tutoring experinece, from over the last 5 years. I also welcome students with learning disabilities and students of all ages.

I have helped numerous students prepare for both GCSE and A-Level exams yearly, all of whom have achieved a grade B (grade 6-7) or above.

In the past, I have taught students of all ages, the youngest being 7 years old and the oldest being adult students who are trying to extend their language knowledge.

Tutoring Approach

My tuition style differs per the needs of each individual student however, I try to keep my lessons as interactive and fun as possible, creating an interpersonal atmosphere where no question is a stupid or silly one! I aim to build a professional yet friendly relationship with each student so that these lessons are never something they have to dread. I can offer help with homework as well as using and creating my own resources. Additionally, I often tend to use past papers and exam resources to put the students' knowledge to the test and identify areas of improvement.
