I am a professional civil engineer and have been tutoring for the last 2 years.
I have strong experience and knowledge in these fields as I am currently working as a graduate civil engineer after completing my masters from the University of Warwick. I was part of the Indian Classical Dance society at university where I taught weekly classes which will definitely help me in this role where I will be teaching concepts I am very familiar with to beginners. I have previous experinece tutoring KS3 and KS4 students, helping them achieve their targer grades and whilst I was an A-Level student, I mentored GCSE students struggling with Mathematics.
I know that each child is different and therefore each child is different and requires a different teaching approach with some being audio learners, some visual, and some kinesthetic. Being adaptable is crucial in ensuring that the student feels comfortable to ask questions when they do not understand something and so that you can explain something in many different ways if they are struggling to understand. Furthermore, my teaching method mostly involves the child learning through examples so that they can understand as they practice and improve their skills with that specific type of question. The key with mathematics is that once an idea has been covered, the best way to improve is to keep practicing similar questions until you confidently can answer a similar question in the real exam.
