We are very happy with the tution we are getting for my daughter.

Penny was a great tutor, very enthusiastic and always willing to personalise lessons to suit my needs. Her impact was clear from my final GCSE scores, with them increasing markedly and achieving the grades I need for sixth form college.

My son was predicted an ‘E’ in his biology A level at the end of last year. So at the beginning of the year we decided to get a tutor. With Penny’s help he achieved a ‘C’ which enabled him to get into the University of his choice.

My daughter in year 10 has been having GCSE Science lessons with Penny. Penny is an excellent tutor. She is very reliable and pleasant. Her lessons are very well structured and my daughter finds her lessons very enjoyable and looks forward to them.

From the outset, communication with Penny has been easy and considerate, in order to find the best way to support our home educated neurodiverse son. She has a very caring and gentle manner which instantly put him at ease. They are currently working through the IGCSE syllabus for physics but will fill any gaps in his knowledge as he has not formally studied physics before. The lessons are conducted online and my son looks forward to them every week. We receive regular feedback and I would have no hesitation in recommending Penny as a tutor. I'm delighted we found her.

In year ten my daughter was really struggling with her combined science & looked set to fail. Ms. Penny has done an excellent job teaching me chemistry. She is very thorough, patient and leaves no questions unanswered. Penny is willing to offer assistance in any subject area of my choosing, holding no judgement on the level of difficulty of the subject, and will patiently help until the topic is fully understood.
In areas that I found particularly difficult, Penny was extremely understanding and provided an assortment of revision materials and techniques to practice.
Penny's revision session was well structured, creating a balance between teaching, discussion and application to exam questions. This allowed room for learning how to reach an answer independently, without over reliance on being immediately provided the answer.

Since starting with Penny during the lockdown my daughter is thoroughly enjoying her tutor sessions, online but very connected would thoroughly recommend.

Penny is a very knowledgeable science tutor. She is impressively knowledgeable on all aspects of the GCSE Combined Science curriculum but even better she is completely approachable. She is a superb ‘study buddy’ with patience, knowledge which she imparts in a way that all aspects of Science become understandable. I would highly recommend Penny as a tutor either in person or on-line. Physics has never been so much fun and lessons so eagerly anticipated. A five star tutor!

Penny is very thoughtful and plans the sessions according to the student’s needs as well as aiding in exam preparation by past exam papers which she kindly marks in her own time. She is a great teacher and has already made a big difference! Thank you Penny!

Lovely calm manner, was great at explaining things. Good at testing to see if had learnt the chapter. To have powerpoint to save to a pen - great idea as can refer back to at any time.

Penny has been really helpful in restoring Chloe's confidence , she has a much better understanding of the subject and is now enjoying chemistry and looks forward to her tutoring sessions.
