Peter is providing excellent teaching for my daughter’s A level physics course.

Peter taught my son preparing for his ALevels in computer science. After a few lessons, my son became increasingly more confident in tackling past questions and was quite eager for the next lesson.
I think he is all set for writing his exams in a few weeks and I am certain that Peter’s tutoring is responsible for his good level of preparedness.

Peter tutored my son through most of his 2 years doing A level physics. He was good at explaining and at going through the materials fast while being clear. He made sure that my son was not passive in the lessons, involving him throughout. He was friendly and tried to make up for lessons if he was not able to do them as originally scheduled.

I am a mature learner undertaking an undergraduate degree in STEM. Peter gave me extremely helpful tuition to enable me to better understand concepts I was studying related to communications technology, radio transmission, and information theory. Peter was very well prepared before our tutorials, having requested and read my course materials prior to the meeting. His tuition is diligent and thorough but Peter was also able to teach to my required pace: I was completing an assignment and needed to understand complex concepts within a limited time. Our teaching method was to meet over zoom, and Peter shared his screen with me while we worked through examples together. In my own case Peter was teaching to an undergraduate level, but I would also highly recommend him as a tutor for A-Level, particularly Physics and Mathematics. I will certainly study with Peter again as my course proceeds. My experience is that his fee is at the average or perhaps slightly higher than the average tutor fee for Physics, but I believe that this is cost effective because of the efficiency and professionalism of his teaching.

Peter helped my son during the various Lockdowns when he could not attend college in person and there were many aspects of the Computer Science A Level course which required interaction and monitoring as the College's teaching provision during the pandemic was woeful.

This is the third time that I have used First Tutors and rate this organisation highly. I took time to study the profiles of the many tutors who could teach Computer Science and am delighted to say that Peter did not disappoint. His wealth of experience and knowledge of the subject, alongside patience, attention to detail and paternal advice, was exceptional. Peter even tutored my son from Australia where he was attending a funeral - way beyond the call of duty.

Our family have absolutely no hesitation at all in recommending Peter to a prospective tutee, he is a remarkable man.

Peter knows mathematics for Computer Science up to the same level as my university professor.
I had a few questions on MSc level algebra and set theory which he was able to help me on.
He was very patient and able to explain the concepts in lots of different ways.

Peter tutored my son from March to June 2019 in preparation for his GCSE Computer Science. He has either been out of school or taught at a very low level for the whole of years 10 and 11 but with Peter's help he moved from barely getting a pass in his mocks to a grade A for his GCSE. I would thoroughly recommend Peter if your child is struggling for any reason.

Peter is teaching my son computer science for GCSE level. My son felt he was behind and did not have a good grasp of the basics and was struggling with confidence in this subject. This was apparent in his test results over the last year. A few lessons with Peter who went over everything he needed to know for his end of year exams in a way that was at my sons pace and understanding has now pushed him to get an exam result above average in the class. We are delighted with his progress. I would definitely recommend Peter as a tutor.
