Peter

I am a qualified science teacher and university lecturer. During my earlier career, I was an instructor in the Royal Navy and a technical consultant in broadcasting and telecommunications. I am an Electrical Engineer with a Master's Degree in Applied Computing and a lifelong student of the sciences. My big passion is Physics, but I have also taught Biology and Chemistry to Years 7 and 8. I firmly believe that learning science is an adventure and it should be fun!

5 years as an Instructor Officer in the Royal Navy, teaching Mathematics, English, Electrical Theory, Electronics and Electrical Machines.

Tutoring Approach

Determine the main objectives of the tutoring sessions and map these to the relevant curriculum.
Identify foundation subject areas where there may be weaknesses and/or misunderstandings
Produce a structured series of tutor sessions to address any areas of weakness and to move forward to new and relevant topics
Ensure familiarity with the types of assessment that will be used (e.g. typical exam questions)
