I am an experienced and educated tutor of Religious Studies. I have a BA (Derby University), MA and PGCE (Warwick University) in Religious Studies. I have over 20 years experience teaching RS at all levels and abilities.
I am supportive, patient and professional. I have a track history of making rapid progress with students. I can motivate, enthuse and build confidence.
I deploy a range of teaching and learning techniques to ensure students make excellent progress and take pride in seeing students reach and move beyond their potential.
During my spare time I enjoy football, going to the cinema, and reading. I have an enhanced DBS check.
I have worked in education for 19 years teaching students with a range of abilities and deploying a range of teaching methods to ensure fantastic progress. I am in charge of a successful Humanities team.

As an experienced teacher I have a wealth of useful resources to support with revision, getting to grips with difficult topics/concepts, and examination technique.
I am familiar with all exam boards, having taught the OCR, AQA and Edexcel syllabi at GCSE AND A Level. I have attended courses to update me on the most recent changes.
Students have a range of needs and difficulties and these need discussing to ensure progress is maximised. Using a range of teaching and learning methods including questioning, examination practice, educational games, vocab tests etc to yield best results and these would be utilised appropriately.
I have a friendly and patient approach to tutoring, attempting to build confidence in the student in order for them to believe in themselves and their abilities.
