From grade C to predicted grade A.
Phillip is exceptional in his teaching, i have had many tutors and by far he is one of the best, he truly reflects his prices. Phillip goes through content both fast and coherently, but slows down when he needs to for my understanding of the topic. I have covered all the maths for Business A level Edexcel in a month understanding all topics! (I have two sessions a week)
Phillip sends me materials that my school didn’t think or attempt to send, and I feel miles ahead of everyone else. If you are serious about your A levels, he is truly the man for the job, I wish I didn’t waste my time with anyone else to be honest.

Phil gave our son a couple of months's worth of last-minute tutoring for his Economics A-level after it emerged that chunks of the curriculum had gone over his head. Our son's confidence increased markedly, and he enjoyed and appreciated his sessions. To quote, 'The best tutor I've ever had'. (And he's had a few.) He ended up with an A - definitely a grade up on what he'd have got without the extra help. Phil was extremely professional and organised throughout, and vitally, knows the curriculum and exam technique backwards. I couldn't recommend him more.

I would say the most important value that Philip have brought to me is the improvement of writing. I come from France and I had many difficulties for writing essays. Phillip has helped me to improve my grammar, but also to improve my writing method (eg: statement, description, examples, critical analysis). I think the method is the key to get good grades in essays in universities, emphasising on critical analyses. Philip helped to get 70% on my essays when I first got between 55-60%. He is very knowledgeable in business-related fields, which was the field of my degree in Warwick. Do not hesitate !

The best tutor I have ever had. Gave me a lot of confidence and dedicated his time to make sure I fully understood the critical analysis aspect of essay writing. The quality of my writing improved and I managed to achieve a grade that I was immensely proud of.

Philips clear way of explaining and teaching my daughter A level Economics has not only improved her knowledge of the subject but also her confidence.

My son was struggling with A’level economics after the Covid lockdown and lack of regular tuition. Philip started tutoring my son in the second term of Year 13. Even though Philip had a relatively short period of time to help prior to the A’levels, his tuition made a big impact on my son’s confidence. My son’s school had predicted that he would achieve a C grade at A’level but he comfortably achieved a B grade. I would definitely recommend Philip.

Philip is an excellent tutor. I have just completed my BSc in Business Management gaining a 2:1. The support I got from Philip was invaluable. His ability to provide remote support was vital during the past couple of years. What I found particulalry helpful was that he was able to get the tutorong approach just right, whether it was a topic where I just needed a bit of context or a topic that I needed more in depth support. I recommend Philip wholeheartedly and without reservation.

Phillip has given our daughter clear pointers and strategies to pick up marks where previously, she did not know what to do to improve. She feels more confident and did well in her mock.

Philip was an amazing tutor. With his help, I was able to get the first for my business and management with marketing degree. He is able to provide the critical feedback I needed for all my coursework and dissertation that I was able to get a great result on all of them. He had great knowledge to help with all my modules from brand management, strategic marketing, internet marketing, international marketing as well as my final year project. It was easy to do as we did tuition via skype and was super easy to share our screens to know what to get on in the session. Even out of the session, he provides even further support by sending me articles and sometimes further feedback on how I am getting on my work or any worrying questions I may have. I'm not to sure if I'd of still been on my course if it wasn't for Philip's help. I can honestly and genuinely say that he's brilliant! He's available pretty much all the time within reason and I've even spoke to him on the phone to ask for advice before a coursework deadline. He's really patient and brings the best out in you. Highly recommended tutor, could not be happier with the service received by Philip, truley professional, reliable and great value for money. Without his help I would not have achieved the grade I received. The only thing I regret is that I had not made contact earlier, Philip always has a answer no matter the question which would be explained with incredible accuracy and would be incredibly difficult not to grasp the concepts once explained.

He is an excellent tutor and he helped me exactly what I want.

My daughter was studying with the Open University (Business) and had a really difficult tutor for a 60 credit module in her 3rd year. She just could not please him and was at her wits end as her marks were plummeting. We enlisted the help of Philip who would proof read the assignments and make helpful suggestions. Her marks increased enough to keep her in the 2.1 bracket (if it had not been for this module she would have earned a 1st)
Philip was flexible to work around her schedule and was always prompt to call. The tutorials were carried out over skype.

I contacted Phil to help me with A2 economics and A2 Business studies (both Edexcel), bit worried about Skype tuition but it was brilliant and i found it really helpful in both subjects. I would highly recommend Phil as he has flexible times and knows the syllabus very well. He was particularly good in teaching me how to structure and go about answering the higher mark questions, which can be tricky in Economics.

My son decided to switch one of his 4 A-levels in mid January and pick up Economics instead. He had to catch up on a whole term and Philip has been incredibly helpful. Fingers crossed about his AS exams!

Whilst not having met Philip in person myself, I would not hesitate to recommend him. In the 2 weeks my son was given to retake a 1st year Uni exam, Philip helped him pass by more than doubling the original mark. My son found him very helpful and patient, taking him not only through aspects of the exam itself but general techniques which will be invaluable in future exams. He was very reassuring when I spoke to him on the phone. My son will continue to use Philip through other exams in the future.

I requested Philip's help to aid my final year of my Marketing degree at bournemouth university. He was extremely good, kept things simple and had a lot of background knowledge around my subjects. He was extremely helpful and had lots of practical advice to try and get me to my 2:1 at the end of my finals, which i achieved after being on a low 2:2 at the begging of my final year to a middle 2:1 when i completed my degree i was so happy and i am sure my grade was down to the extra help i received from Philip!

Phil really helped me get a grasp of the basics and show me what I needed to do to get the marks! We ran through the course specification and simply talked through and worke out anything I didn't understand. More than anything he eloped build my confidence and gave me a strategy which meant I was not phased by harder questions. He was a great help and I achieved a much higher result than I thought possible at the start.

I can heartily recommend Phillip as an economics tutor. I first contacted Phillip in March following my son's difficulties in his module taken in January. In spite of the incredibly short timescale, Philip started helping my son twice a week in the Easter holidays then subsequently once a week to take him up to his exams in June. Phillip's approach is extremely professional yet friendly and he does his utmost to help and cater to his student's needs. With my son's hard work and determination together with Phillip's committed guidance and excellent teaching, my son developed in both confidence and ability and found the sessions invaluable. His school predicted, in May, that he would be awarded an E grade in his Economics 'A' level; in reality he was awarded a B grade, quite a jump! My only regret is that my son didn't start his tuition with Phillip earlier!

Philip has helped Rowan tremendously to date; he is obviously an expert in the subject and his enthusiasm has been caught by Rowan. He has also been extremely understanding and accomodating about Rowan's health problems.
