¡Hola! My name is Pippa and I have seventeen years' experience in teaching French and Spanish at Secondary and Primary school levels. I am a fluent speaker of Spanish and have a good level of French.
Classes/subjects that I can offer:
- primary level languages, offering an introduction to the language through physical phonics, songs, stories and games.
- K3 French and Spanish, to equip students with the grammar, vocabulary and exam skills in preparation for GCSE
- GCSE Spanish - I have in depth knowledge of the exam board courses (especially AQA) and the exam skills required. I can offer classes tailored to a particular skills (e.g. speaking or writing) or more general classes.
I am a highly qualified, experienced and very friendly tutor of Spanish up to GCSE and French up to KS3. I currently teach in a secondary and a primary school in Bristol, teaching children at Key Stage 2 (Year 3 - 6) and Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) and 4 (Years 10 and 11). I have taught AQA exams in Spanish at GCSE and A level with successful results and have also been a GCSE examiner. I love languages and have lived and worked in France, Spain and Argentina in the past.
I have a calm, positive approach to language learning and always make lessons fun with lots of modelling and examples first so that students are able to build their confidence. I am also flexible and adaptable in terms of what content and skills are taught, depending on each pupil’s need.
