Piranavan I a great tutor. He has helped me tremendously with formulating my personal statement as a private candidate trying to get into top universities. A well written personal statement is important and I wouldn't have had a great personal statement without him. He is tutoring me a level chemistry and he is really honing in on my needs as a student (exam practice) if you tell him what your weaknesses are he will help you make sure he is getting you there. I am very satisfied with how my lessons are going with Piaranavan.

Piranavan is quite experienced tutor for Personal Statement and University choices.

He helped with Engineering Direction's PS and explained the differences between Engineering related subjects. He helped to find out the true interests of the subjects and it was very useful to make decision to choose the right subjects of University.

Piranavan came on board to assist my son with mathematics and non-verbal revision for his 7+ entrance exam. It was a very short notice and with a very short lead time to the exam as he was unfortunately starting to really suffer from exam anxiety. Not only did he go through all necessary topics with my son and drill him on exam techniques, he also really helped boost his confidence so he went to the exams feeling well prepared. He is an immensely understanding and capable tutor whom I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. My son recently has had his place confirmed at Highgate school after successful passing his exam.

We had the pleasure of Piranavan tutoring our son the following several areas:
1. A-level and AS Level tutoring for maths and physics
2. Personal statement and interview guidance including Oxbridge, G5 application process and how best to get organised from early on

We have had tutors in the past but what really impressed us about Piranavan is that he knows his subjects well and had done all necessary background research into the Examination Board modules that he was taking and their requirements, prior to teaching our son, so that he knew exactly what needed to be taught and what the Board were looking for.

Piranavan is an excellent teacher. Using his own methodology of teaching, he creates a wonderful rapport with his pupil and sustains a kind, gentle and generous attitude during the lessons. He was encouraging and yet firm enough to retain discipline and order. Lessons were structured properly and there was a plan and outcome to each session. Piranavan was also extremely courteous and helpful when explaining to us, his parents, what he had taught that session and what additional work would be necessary as practice.

During the school holidays we asked Piranavan for an intensive programme to essentially go through the entire syllabus for Maths and Physics. Piranavan prepared challenging questions and guidance to applying the methodology which our son found most helpful, and he arranged the learning days in such a way as to maximise time and effectiveness and we were all very grateful. They were long days and yet much was learned.

We would thoroughly recommend Piranavan as a Maths and Physics tutor as well as a mentor.

Piranavan supported my daughter online for her IGCSE Maths and Sciences (Physics, Chemistry) mock preparation while she was at boarding school. I was initially sceptical about the effectiveness of online lessons. However, Piranavan has proved me wrong. The truth is that they can be just as effective as ‘face-to–face’ tuition. Piranavan was using video-chat software and an online whiteboard. The whiteboard can be seen, written on by Piranavan proving to be simple yet effective. My daughter also had notes from the session, the whiteboard content saved as a pdf after the lesson.
In regard to his attitude, Piranavan always offers a very flexible schedule in which he is always punctual. During his sessions, he is clear, patient and most important is able to explain concepts in more than just one way on topics that my daughter did not previously understand. Piranavan has also been an amazing mentor. His coaching allowed my daughter to achieve outstanding grades for her maths and science mocks well ahead of the actual GCSE, which has boosted her self- confidence considering STEM subjects used to be her weaker subjects – predicted Level 5s. I would definitely recommend Piranavan’s services to anyone struggling with maths or sciences and aiming to get 9s at boarding schools!

Piranavan has tutored my son in maths for the 11+ plus test and improved his fundamental understanding of KS2 sciences, for the past eleven months.
He is extremely thorough and organised and ensures he gets the most out of the pupil and the lesson. He finds the pupils strengths and weaknesses in the subject and concentrates on improving the weaknesses by thorough explanations, hints and tips, set work, exam paper questions etc.
My son is now confident to approach challenging topics with confidence, due to Piranavans ability to simplify the topics. His tutoring has helped my son to make excellent progress in maths.
