I have just finished A-Levels and am taking a gap year to resit two of my A-Levels. Academics aside, I have a bubbly personality and am someone who loves working with other people. I have a desire to learn anything and everything and am more than capable of teaching myself as I had done with reading and writing Korean and dance. I am a very musical person and love listening to music in my free time as well as reading.

Tutoring Experience

So far, I have taught swimming to kids from the age of 5 to 16. When I started this, I realized that I have a knack for communicating and relating to my students and helping as well as inspiring them to push themselves in the pool. It's always great to see the miles of improvement they show in a half an hour session. I have also taught two students, Year 2-3 maths and English over the summer and I was happy to receive happy feedback from both parents. I have been teaching GCSE level For the past half a year, working with students to prepare them for exams.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is catered specifically to the student as each student learns at a different pace and in a different style. I start by assessing the student's capabilities through different exercises. I also pick a topic they are struggling in, teach them by using a step-by-step process - teach, assess understanding, reteach if little understanding using a different method and move on to more detailed topic/ harder questions to push the student's boundaries and like this work together with them to build confidence and understanding.
