Poonam's Feedback

My son is taking GCSE lessons with Poonam, and I can not recommend her enough. My son has made a significant improvement since he started and has been predicted grade 8/9. Poonam has an evident enthusiasm for maths that has really helped push my son's interest in the subject. Poonam gave my son confidence in a subject he struggled with and helped him achieve his potential. She is amazing at adjusting her teaching to what my son requires.
Without Poonam's assistance, he would not be where he is today. Thank you Poonam!

Poonam has been teaching both of my children for GCSE and A levels. My younger child received a very excellent grade 9 in her GCSE. I'm so delighted I found Poonam. She not only instilled confidence in her, but she also helped her grades improve from a predicted 6 to a final grade of 9. Despite her busy schedule, she has been incredibly accommodating to my daughter's requirements with school commitments. Further my son who took A level this year received an A*. He thinks Poonam is very knowledgeable,competent and is familiar with all of the exam boards. Her exam-based preparation significantly improved my son's marks. Thank you so much, Poonam, for helping both my children excel!!Forever grateful.

My child did a (paid) trial lesson with Poonam on Tuesday last week. On Friday, I WhatsApp’ed Poonam (her preferred method of communication) asking to do another lesson this week.

I was honest and said that the lesson went very well, but before committing to go weekly for the year, would it be OK to do one more test lesson (again paid)? I expected a response saying either yes or no, and I could have made an appropriate decision then.

However, I didn’t get any response, so followed up on Sunday. On Monday, I emailed and sent a message via First Tutors. The lack of communication was disappointing, and some of the messages beforehand were rather brusque in tone.

On Tuesday I finally heard back from Poonam explaining she had a change of circumstances and couldn’t provide any further lessons / take on my child as a permanent pupil.

There wasn’t really any detail as to what the nature of this circumstance change was, and of course I didn’t want to pry. But in the absence of that, it feels like quite a lot of wasted time for all parties. Plus the way that this site works (in paying a finders fee to release tutor details) only really works if the tutor is committed to providing tuition when they accept the request.

As such, I’ve had to leave this feedback for the website to allow me to contact another tutor using the credit I’d paid to contact Poonam, as that is how their system works.

I am extremely thankful that I chose Poonam as a tutor for my son. Poonam has been teaching my son from September 2022 until May 2023. During this time, she has helped him gain confidence in Maths especially as it’s not one of his strong subjects. She was patient, new his weakness and worked on them. She always tried her best to find time for him in her busy schedule . I can wholeheartedly say that she is THE BEST tutor my son has ever had and I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a professional and extremely experienced Maths tutor.

Poonam is so booked up that we can't start with her until after 19th May but I'd be happy to leave feedback once the tutoring has begun. With many thanks, Sarah

I am extremely happy to write this feedback for Poonam.She has been an exceptional tutor who made my sons get 9 in IGCSE and A* in A levels.My children enjoyed her lessons and developed a lot of confidence in maths.She not only covered the topics in detail but also constantly challenged them.Her knowledge and passion for maths is absolutely amazing.she’s so patient and understanding,If it wasn’t for Poonam I don’t think my children would have ever excelled so much in maths and got top grades.

I was truly blessed to have Poonam tutoring me for my GCSE for last two years.I would never have believed that I would have got a grade 9. However Thanks to Poonam this is a reality and from her perfect teaching strategy she was able to develop my interest in maths. She is a very sincere and dedicated teacher who works very hard with students to bring them many levels up. Poonam is highly motivating and is a true inspiration. I now look forward to starting A levels with her from September.

Poonam is absolutely fantastic teacher! She has made a miracle with my son. He started to take lessons a year in advance to his GCSEs and was nearly D in his grades which was a terrible situation for him. He just got his results last week and it is 3 points off from 9 which is a top mark!!
She gives lots of homework every week (so there is no cheating here, only everyday practice can make change), and keeps an eye on everything he is doing, pays attention to all his exams and gives very valuable advices, I've got feedbacks about my son's progress from her every week during the whole year.
I'm now taking my other two girls to her to get them ready for entrance exams. And I'm sure they are in good hands. I would highly recommend her to any student who wants to learn and achieve better grade in Math!

Poonam is a very sincere tutor and knows 11+ entrance requirements very well. She is very knowledgeable,professional and inspirational.My daughter made continued progress since she started preparing for her 11+ with her.

Poonam was most effective teacher for my **Web Address Removed** is hard to find a teacher that is committed as you are as a parent to get the best out of your child.As a teacher she understands the subject, curriculum requirements and your child needs.
Poonam has taught my son only for four months and within this short period she managed to prepare him to that extend that my son passed 11+exam test to top schools in London.
I have enormous respect for her, she is approachable, helpful and I know that whenever we need help she will be there for us.

Ms Poonam is the best teacher I ever had. Due to her great teaching style I am able to achieve 9 in Maths which is highest grade and A* in GCSE Further Maths (100%,full marks). She even motivated me to do additional Maths and I got higher A which is again the highest.
Ms Poonam teaching is exam oriented and puts in so much of confidence that you start aiming for the highest. She is highly experienced and knows how to bring out best in her students.
I am very lucky to find her at the right time is very happy to earn highest possible grades in GCSE Maths,Further Maths and Additional Maths. It's because of her now I will be doing Maths and Further Maths at A levels.

Poonam is an amazing tutor I have been with since September. She is patient with me and clearly has a lot of experience in A Level Maths. I never fail to learn something new every week with her and would highly recommend her to anyone taking A Level Maths.

Poonam was a very good tutor but my son only had one lesson with her as she could not see him again and was not particularly accommodating in trying to fit him in.
