I am currently studying Medicine at the Universtiy of Liverpool having completed my A levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. I have a keen interest in sports such as cricket and tennis whilst also having hobbies in Chess and Piano.

Tutoring Experience

In recent years, I have mentored and taught to students from year 7-11 in Biology and Mathematics. Despite having less experience in tutoring than others, I have recently gone through the challenges a student will experience in school and I will be able to understand the struggles and confusion an individual may have. I can assist medical school applicants to prepare for the UCAT exam, review their personal statements and conduct interview sessions so that they can maximise their chances of getting a place.

Tutoring Approach

In each lesson, I will identify where the student needs assistance and then I try to explain the content in a coherent fashion. This method results in the student directing the session, allowing me to meet their priorities and provide more support when looking at a topic. When required I may talk about my own experiences with certain subjects and how I overcame them with relevant techniques. This makes the student reflect on their learning and seek inspiration to develop ideas on how they can improve as a student. I will assign a number of problems on specific topics which raises the confidence of the pupil and increases their motivation to succeed.
