I have obtained a M. Phil and Masters in Sociology. Whilst on this course, I got an opportunity to teach Sociology to undergraduate students for two years. I have also obtained a B.A Degree in Sociology, Psychology and Political Science which covered health, early years and development and social issues. To further support my educational qualifications I pursued my M.B.A (Business Studies) from Hertfordshire University in 2004.In addition to this I completed a Certificate in Education (PGCE) Greenwich University, Jan 2008 and QTLS in Jun 2012.

Tutoring Experience

I have extensive experience of over 15 years in teaching, delivering and managing a diverse range of courses in multicultural environment(s) to a range of academic and diverse student groups and organisations, for example; GCSE/ A levels Psychology, A Level Sociology and vocational courses such as BTEC Introductory Certificate for ESOL learners, GNVQ, AVCE, OCR level 2 and 3, BTEC National Diploma and Fist Diploma/Certificate Health and Social Care, Early year courses and Foundation Degree, and Access to Nursing. I have also been involved in 19 plus courses such Mental Health and Foundation Degree. I had an opportunity to teach sociology and research methods to Foundation Degree yr. 1 & 2. As a course team leader and a tutor it’s was responsibility to make sure that every learner should complete the initial assessments and diagnostics to identify the levels they are working at and what support will be required to meet the learner’s needs. In my most recent job I am a tutor for access and level 1 &3 courses hence helping the students with UCAS forms and doing their references for the universities. In addition I have liaised with team members associated with NVQ's and have an understanding of methods of assessments in the working environment as well as quality assurance.
