I am a Cambridge graduate with a BA in English Literature and a Masters Degree in Classical Theatre from LAMDA (London Academy of Music and the Dramatic Arts). I have over four years experience in teaching, with 1000+ hours of tutoring under my belt. I am a warm, enthusiastic and professional individual who aims to pass on my love of literature to my students. I strive to tailor my sessions to the needs and requirements of each individual student, and aim to make my lessons engaging and enjoyable, while also helping my students to achieve their goals, whatever they may be.
I have an impeccable track record, helping my students to achieve their target grades across the board. I also have extensive experience coaching students for entrance exams with a high level of success.
I am fully qualified to coach LAMDA Exams, and, as a LAMDA Graduate, I can offer invaluable insight into the process.
I also have experience teaching students with Special Needs, and can tailor my lessons to suit a variety of needs and learning styles.
I have over 1000 hours of teaching experience, focusing on English Literature and Language through primary to degree level. I have experience teaching in person as well as online, and have taught one-on-one as well as running a large number of Book Clubs for small and large groups.
I enjoy cultivating an active engagement and passion for literature with my students, as well as helping them achieve their personal and academic goals.
I aim to tailor my sessions to the requirements of each individual, taking time to assess the needs of the student thoroughly before putting together a unique curriculum. I strive to make my lessons both challenging and engaging, encouraging my students to reach their full potential. I believe that, with the right environment, all students are capable of achieving their goals. I place a strong emphasis on genuine engagement and independent thinking, ensuring that my students leave my lessons with the skills to approach any text or task on their own.
I aim to maintain an open and consistent dialogue between student, parent, and myself, in order to monitor progress and make adjustments where necessary.
If you have any questions about my approach, please do not hesitate to drop me a message.
