My name's Rachel and I'm Director of Music at a Manchester based grammar school. I tutor piano (first study instrument), vocals, theory and general GCSE/A Level music from beginner to advanced level.
I have 8 years' experience of tutoring piano and theory to a range of beginner, intermediate and advanced students and children/adults alike. My experience as a classroom teacher and Head of Music lends well in knowing how to maximise student progress, giving clear feedback and understanding the needs of a diverse range of students.
I love what I do and enjoy imparting my passion for music to others. My teaching style is patient, goal-focused and flexible depending upon the student's needs, whether this is taking graded exams or simply becoming a better pianist. I want lessons to be fun and inspiring but expect students to be committed and practise hard to make the most out of their time with me.
