I am an outstanding science and maths teacher (as recognised by OFSTED inspectors) at an exceptional North London Independent school.
I am also an examiner.
I am also on the 11+ entrance interview panel.
I am a very sought after tutor as I have the ability to impart complex knowledge effectively and patiently, while enthusing my students and building on their confidence in science and maths.
As well as, tutoring students for GCSE and A-level, I have successfully tutored students for the 7+, 11+ and 13+ common entrance exams. Some examples of where my students have gained places include: City of London, Highgate and St. Paul’s Schools.
My teaching experience involves teaching a wide range of abilities from ADD to gifted and talented students.
I have experience of being Head of Science and Lead Practitioner (coaching teachers to be outstanding). My teaching experience has been at state maintained and independent schools over the past 17 years.
I have been nominated for Teacher of the Year award three times. This nomination is based on the teacher that has evidenced the best implementation of STEM extra-curricular activities at their school.
I have excellent teaching methods and understanding of various examination boards.
I am a London exam boards marker and thus familiar with developing strong exam techniques.
I regularly attend many teaching courses and hence am up to date with all modern teaching and assessing techniques.
I have an excellent record of success with the students I teach where grades on average increase by at least a minimum of 2/3. Most recently I tutored a student who went from being predicted a 4 grade to gaining an 9 grade for their Chemistry iGCSE exam this summer.
I have the skills and knowledge necessary to help students make progress and achieve 8/9 grades. I will break down each topic within the subject to a manageable and understandable portion and will not carry on until until the concept is fully grasped. I have a wide range of differentiated resources to meet the needs for all types of learners. In addition, I have past paper questions ranging from the last 15 years.
Please note the introductory fee is set and charged by first tutors and is made payable to them.
