Hello,
I'm Raj. I am based in Birmingham and I teach Maths in secondary school. I also have over 10 years of tutoring experience.
I tutor Mathematics - upto GCSE level, 11+ admissions content in Mathematics, English, Verbal Reasoning & Non-Verbal Reasoning and SAT's Mathematics preparations.
I am available Monday to Saturday all day, and upon request, I am also able to provide lessons on Sunday. I can travel to you provided I do not have back to back lessons.
My lessons can either be as a 1-2-1 or online. I tailor each lesson to your requirement and work in detail with any topic which you may find challenging. I believe that knowing, understanding and then being able to apply the fundamental principles is core to success and I work hard to ensure that you have a strong foundation across every topic. I will always give more than is required in helping you break any barriers and guide you in raising your academic standards and your confidence.
My experience started during my secondary school years in Kenya, where I studied in private schools which followed the British National Curriculum. It was here that I started tutoring other students in lower years with Mathematics. I then completed my A Levels at King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys where I got excellent grades In Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. I then went on to complete my higher education at The University of Manchester where I graduated with a Masters in Physics with Honours. I teach Maths in a secondary school have now been tutoring for the past ten years and I continue to do so on a daily basis.
I am a very enthusiastic and passionate tutor. I am friendly, easy to talk to and fun. I believe in my ability to deliver a great lesson - which is a disciplined approach around the fundamental principles of that topic and through my years of experience that practice definitely makes perfect.
My primary aim is to teach you the topics that you find difficult, and then to help you understand that you have the ability within yourself to face any challenges and to show you the potential to push your own limits.
