In Summer 2022, I graduated with a first class MPhys in Theoretical Physics from the University of Manchester. My research was undertaken in AI, and is to be published in due course. Presently, I am working on a continuation of my thesis - writing neural architecture search algorithms in Python and C++ for use in a medical setting.
I have tutored A-level students in Maths, Further Maths and Physics, in which they went on to achieve As and A*s, and at Manchester I led peer-assisted tutorial sessions for first-year undergraduate physics students to help their understanding of crucial concepts and assist in answering exam-style questions.
I use a scientific, research-based approach to teaching to extract the best results in minimal time. This is mainly a dynamic learning model to best suit the topic at hand, not relying on any ‘one-size-fits-all’, and is combined with my personal techniques developed through years of experimentation and university study.
I aim to make my classes enjoyable and interactive, and use graphs and diagrams to help illustrate examples.
I actively encourage my students to ask questions and aim to boost their self-confidence, believing that, in physics and maths, there is no such thing as a stupid question.
My main goal is to develop the students' actual understanding of the subject and provide inspiration as apposed to just memorising content, giving back to education that which I missed.
