Richard is a successful music producer having produced more than a dozen platinum hits in the West African music scene before moving to the UK as a recording artist, sound engineer and producer. He learned to play the organ through his dad - a clergyman who also played the organ - and later under the Organist at St. Stephen's Anglican Cathedral, Ondo, Nigeria. He was employed thereafter as the assistant organist at the same cathedral.
He studied further and gained a diploma in Organ & Piano music at Christ's Music School, Ondo, Nigeria. Currently, he is in his final year of BA (Hons) Music Technology Specialist at the University of West London. He has more than a decade of experience using software such as Pro Tools, Logic, Reason, Fruity Loops, and recent software including Reason, Massive, etc. He's currently working on an album featuring various UK artists in soul, r&b, jazz, afribeat(s), world music, and fusions of these styles.
He has taught Music with a particular focus on piano in a primary school in Nigeria, and has been a private piano tutor for more than a decade. He was also the student organist in his secondary school days, thereby having some experience in juggling fun, work and studies together.
He is patient and positive in his ways and believes that a thorough understanding of the core rudiments of music is vital.
