I am fun, experienced and have a proven track record switching students on to learning. I came to teaching later in life and can offer inspirational tutoring. I have and will continue to deliver results . I am worldly, having lived in New York, Hong Kong, Milan and London and it is this experience I will bring to lessons. I now live in Norwich, where I grew-up, with my family.
I have been teaching for 15 years across all key stages in a number of countries. My professional career in the UK has been in Grammar Schools where I have achieved 100% A*-B. I have tutored for about 10 years on and off and have been an examiner for a variety of exam boards. I have detailed knowledge of set texts and can help develop abilities to write creatively. My powers of analysis are well developed and I can refer to a range of sources to switch students on to studying independently. I enjoy 1 to 1 tutoring and your children will too. I am currently employed in a 6th form college.
Exam focus: structuring essays based upon exam assessment foci, question- by- question. Will introduce students to a range of materials that will allow for a non-formulaic response to exam questions ( something the examiners are looking for.) Demand hard work, but have a bunch of innovative and creative methods to engage students ( I am a Dad too!) Your children will have fun, and they WILL learn! I teach from home, but can come to you too.
